New York Fall Bucket List

Updated: Apr 30, 2021

1. The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze

The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze is situated at 525 S Riverside Ave, Croton-On Hudson, NY. The function's new second area is at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration on Long Island. See the Pumpkin Carousel spin and the Pumpkin Windmill spin and step inside the Pumpkin Planetarium for a star show like you've never observed. You'll absolutely hold a light for the 25-foot-tall jack o'lantern Statue of Liberty and get individual with Instagrammable indications of the zodiac.

It’s real carving pumpkins throughout the run of the event. The artwork, creativity and execution is amazing. They are very well organized for walk through so you can see everything. The crowd is much smaller this year as they prefer limited people and you can only buy tickets online by visiting their website. Unfortunately I don’t sell their tickets so you have to visit their website. Must do for the Halloween season and I would recommend everyone to visit at least once.

2. Visit Central Park for leaf peeping

Each fall, a considerable lot of Central Park's about 18,000 trees change into energetic shades of yellow, orange, red. Central Park is the most magical place during autumn time. It’s located between 5th Avenue and 59th street to 110th street. Most wonderful fall foliage in central is by Gapstow Bridge, Wollman Rink, Cherry hill fountain, Bethesda terrace and Fountain, Bow Bridge, Literary walk Central Park and Lot more

3. Pumpkin Patch in Manhattan

Some of the best display to see in NYC this year. NYC is totally into the Halloween and autumn spirit, with so many pumpkin displays around the city.

1. Pier 17 at Seaport district NYC

2. New York Botanical garden

3. Rockefeller Center Channel Garden

4. Hatch Creative Studio in Chelsea

5. Industry city in Brooklyn

4. Queens County Farm Museum

This is really great idea by Queens Museum to create this flower exhibit by #floralescape . Different from just regular pumpkin display and it’s very photogenic. Perfect place for most beautiful instagram photos. There is a also a corn maze and hayride suitable for all ages.

5. Pumpkin Village in NJ ( Happy Day Farm )

Happy Day Farm has created various installations for people who like to take Instagram photos with pumpkin. Small fee to have access to the area. I recommend visiting during the week instead of the weekend. I believe the 2020 season is already sold out on the weekends but far less crowded on the weekdays. They have sunflower fields, piles of pumpkins and plenty of parking. Definitely worth the visit.

There is a lots of places to do hike near New York City.

  1. Vermont

  2. New Hampshire

  3. Boston

  4. Pocono Mountains

  5. Bear Mountain

I visited Bear Mountain last week and it was amazing. Colors were so vibrant. I highly recommend this place for hike as its just 1 hour and 30 mins from New York City by car and also you can take metro north from Grand Central Terminal.

9. Go for Apple picking

I love Masker Orchards for apple picking. Huge orchard with lots of varieties. There's no entry or parking fee. Bag of apple is $30 and you can fit around 45 apples in a bag. You can drive up to anywhere in the orchard. You can also buy fresh apple pie, cider, donuts also.
